  • Sponsor Providers are trained and matched to individuals with intellectual disabilities according to their support and personal needs. This allows for more personalized and tailored services that address the unique needs of each individual. Each home focuses on the needs, preferences, talents and abilities of the individual in order for them to reach their full potential.

  • Sponsor Providers encourage and support family involvement when the person with a disability desires that involvement. Families are encouraged to be an active participant of the individual's support team. Services are individualized to the needs of the individual and reflect the choices, desires, and culture of the individual and the person’s family.

  • Sponsor Providers are approved by the licensure department under the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmetal Services.

    Sponsor Provider Qualifications:

    • Passed a criminal background records check.

    • Received prevention training.

    • Completed 32-hours of Medical Administration Training. Including First Aid/CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, Therapeutic Options, Direct Support Professional training, Human Rights training, Documentation and Department of Medical Assistance Compliance Regulations training, and Certification in Emergency and Disaster Training.

  • Sponsor Providers must provide opportunities for each individual to participate in community activities. These activities are chosen by the individuals and coordinated to meet their requests.
